Welcome back everyone! We’ve had a busy week with some great posts shared. We hope you’ve taken a moment to look through them!

Each month the From the Farm Blog Hop co-hosts will be highlighting one of our very own co-hosts with you all so you can get to know each of us. This week’s highlighted co-host is Lisa from Fresh Eggs Daily! Welcome to this space, Lisa!!

Lisa lives on a small farm in Virginia with her husband and nearly two dozen chickens of various breeds including Australorps, Faverolles, Marans, Cochins, Andalusians, Olive Eggers and Ameraucanas, a rooster. She also raises several ALBC duck breeds. A barn cat, two dogs (a German Shepherd and a Corgi) and two horses round out their barnyard. She enjoys gardening and growing herbs, enabling her to cook and bake with fresh homegrown ingredients in addition to their fresh eggs.

The granddaughter of chicken farmers in New England, Lisa grew up in the country but left for Wall Street after graduating from college. Predictably, she eventually tired of the hustle and bustle of city life and never looked back. She has settled into country life once more and enjoys sharing her experiences with her readers.

She writes for Grit and HGTV online as well as various other publications, including Hobby Farm Chickens magazine. In her free time she is an avid knitter and reader. She is currently working on a book on natural chicken keeping due out in the fall of 2013.
